I already paid for the device and convinced others to get Booms, too. It shouldn't be a hunt to find the desktop application for updates. To Logitech: the process for updates is overly-complicated and not user-friendly. Luckily another user showed the way and I can confirm it worked. Right now, this process is cumbersome and confusing. Ultimate Ear's phone software disables functionality unless you agree to upgrade the firmware on every single device on their timetable. Afterward I initiated the second update for each UE Boom through the phone application. By the way I have a number of bluetooth devices / speakers connected to my Chromebook, its just this UE Boom speaker which is a shame since its the best sounding speaker I have. First I had to download and run the Windows installer with one Boom plugged in at a time-which I must admit I was leery about since the first hyperlink didn't work. The UE Boom connects to every other device I have, a Mac mini, my android phone, etc. I just refreshed the firmware for two UE Booms to gain back stereo functionality in the same fashion Jeggen described above. I want to thank Jeggen for the posts here and confirm another successful update.
